Indonesia is our focus market

Southeast Asia's largest economy is building its digital future fast. We connect international companies, Indonesian enterprises and government programmes with the capital, technology, operators and talent to make it happen.

Why Indonesia

Scale

Southeast Asia's largest economy and the world's fourth most populous country, with more than 280 million people across 17,000 islands.

Digital demand

A young, mobile-first population is driving cloud, payments, e-commerce and now AI. Demand for local compute is growing faster than the capacity to serve it.

Data stays at home

The Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and sector rules push more data, and the infrastructure that holds it, into the country.

A national push

Government and state-owned enterprises are investing in digital infrastructure, energy and industry, and are looking for proven partners to deliver it.

Data centres in Indonesia

Indonesia is one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing data centre markets. Local demand, data residency rules and tight capacity in Singapore are all pulling new builds into the country.

We source and qualify sites, bring operators, capital and off-takers together, and stay through delivery.

  • Jakarta & West Java

The country's main data centre market. Most capacity sits in Jakarta and the industrial corridor east of the city, close to customers, carriers and the grid.

  • Batam

A free trade zone a short hop from Singapore, where new data centre capacity is tightly limited. Batam is growing as the overflow site for the region.

  • Emerging regions

Surabaya, Bali and other regional centres are seeing early edge and enterprise demand, often tied to new power and fibre investment.

What's different here

The fundamentals are the same everywhere: land, planning and power. In Indonesia, each comes with its own rules.

Land title
Foreign-owned companies hold land on a right-to-build title (HGB), not freehold. The title, its term and who holds it today all need checking early.
Licensing
Projects are licensed through the national OSS system under the right business classification (KBLI). Getting the structure right first saves months.
Power
Grid power comes through PLN, the state utility. Capacity, connection timing and access to renewable supply shape which sites work.
Partners
Local partners, landowners and officials matter as much as the spec. We bring people who have built and operated here before.

Entering Indonesia, step by step

Most delays come from the wrong structure or the wrong partner. We help you get both right first.

  1. 1

    Assess

We test the opportunity against the market, the rules and the competition, and tell you plainly if it's there.

  2. 2

    Structure

Foreign-owned company, joint venture or local partner. We help you choose, with legal partners for the set-up.

  3. 3

    Connect

We introduce the customers, partners, landowners, investors and government contacts the plan depends on.

  4. 4

    Deliver

We stay with the work through licences, launch and the first contracts, until the results show.
